Our Impact

Voluntary commitments are a core outcome of the Our Ocean Conference. They drive measurable ocean action, encourage cooperation between countries and organizations, and support global goals like the High Seas Treaty and Global Biodiversity Framework.

The Secretariat, based at World Resources Institute, tracks the commitments and investment made by governments, civil society, the private sector and the academic community — and monitors their implementation over time.
